Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

The subject of much of my work recently has been common items such as toys and appliances, and I found that they have much to offer visually all by themselves. I have always enjoyed machines of every kind, and painting them is like describing an old friend. A number of fine artists that have influenced me were previously technical illustrators or graphic artists, and their work has helped to shape the way I like to paint.
